We track the forces shaping digital transformation across advertising, software, talent and media.
Zelo Digital was established in 2017 to fill a gap in independent analysis of the digital industry. At a time when the lines between advertising technology, media, software and talent were blurring, practitioners needed a clear-eyed source of intelligence to help them navigate an increasingly complex landscape.
Today, we publish research, commentary and analysis covering the six sectors where digital disruption is most pronounced: publishers and media, brands and advertisers, SaaS businesses, digital agencies, esports and gaming, and the emerging world of crypto and fintech.
Our editorial approach is straightforward: we follow the data, talk to practitioners, and present what we find without an agenda. We are not beholden to any single technology vendor, agency holding company or trade body. That independence is what makes our work useful.
The digital industry moves fast. A programmatic strategy that worked in 2022 may already be obsolete. A SaaS category that seemed niche can become a billion-dollar market in under three years. Keeping pace requires more than industry press releases — it requires genuine analysis.
We focus on the intersection of three themes:
These three threads run through everything we publish, whether we're exploring the latest developments in cookieless identity, the economics of SaaS freemium models, or the skills that define a high-performing digital team.
Zelo Digital began as a London-based intelligence service focused specifically on the digital recruitment landscape. Our founding team spent years placing senior professionals across AdTech, programmatic, SaaS and digital media, and in that process built deep institutional knowledge of what companies were building, what skills they needed, and where the industry was heading.
Over time, we expanded our focus from recruitment intelligence to broader industry analysis. We recognised that the same rigour and network that made us useful in understanding talent could be applied to understanding markets, technologies and competitive dynamics.
Today, Zelo Digital publishes regular editorial content for digital professionals — practitioners, founders, investors and executives who need to stay current without wading through the noise.
We apply a consistent editorial standard across everything we publish:
If you believe we've got something wrong, or if you have a story worth covering, get in touch.
Our Values
We are not funded by any technology vendor, agency group or media conglomerate. Our analysis reflects what we find, not what we're paid to say.
We interrogate data, validate sources and seek out contrarian perspectives. Surface-level takes are easy. Useful analysis takes more effort.
We write for the people building digital businesses — not for observers on the sidelines. Every piece should be actionable or genuinely illuminating.
