Job Summary:
As the Sales Director at VR Startup, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales strategies, managing a high-performing sales team, and spearheading business development efforts. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales/CRO, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue targets, expanding our client base, and ensuring long-term customer success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and achieve ambitious sales targets.
- Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations to maximize individual and team performance.
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Sales/CRO to establish sales objectives, sales territories, and quotas aligned with company goals.
- Identify new business opportunities, cultivate relationships, and close deals with key clients, including enterprise customers, partners, and industry influencers.
- Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape to identify strategic opportunities and ensure the company’s offerings remain competitive.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to foster customer loyalty and drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Drive the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to the executive team, highlighting key metrics, performance, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to provide valuable feedback on customer needs, market trends, and product enhancements.
- Stay informed about VR industry advancements and leverage that knowledge to effectively position VR Startup’s products and solutions in the market.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a successful sales leader, preferably in the technology industry, with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the virtual reality industry, its applications, and market dynamics.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies, with a customer-centric approach.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, as required.
